Quick Summary

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless yet be determined to make them otherwise.—F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Janus Model is the model that we’ve been building up to over the last few months. By understanding the Polymath Model and the Multiplier Skills Model, you can now understand the mental model that Eben and I consider fundamental to our success as entrepreneurs, impact as thinkers, and fulfillment as individuals.

This model is a unique combination of extremely useful and extremely rare. It is counterintuitive and is literally the opposite of conventional wisdom.

I encourage you to read this mastery manual, and re-read sections or follow the resources for any part that’s confusing.
